The foundation of many of the skills, interests and talents we use in our daily lives is formed between the ages of 0-6. The information we learn in the areas of cognitive, emotional, social, language and motor skills between these ages prepares us for our future lives. In order to make sure that a child is developing normally, their performance is evaluated by comparing them with their peers in all these areas and their development is monitored.
Just as we consult pediatricians for many areas from learning about physical development such as height and weight to learning how to feed our child when they are first born, we also need to consult a specialist to evaluate our child's cognitive, emotional, social, language and motor skills.
By monitoring your child's development, you can be sure that your child's development is normal, and if they are developing differently, you can take precautions with early intervention. You can prepare them for their educational life by supporting their development with the necessary intervention programs.
Again, this age range is the years that determine what kind of adult we will be in the future. How parents should behave in a way that will positively support their children's personality can be learned through parental counseling.
In our center, for developmental follow-up and counseling, "Early Childhood Developmental Assessment Checklist", "AGTE", "Theory of Mind Tests", Goodenough - Harris Human Drawing Test and "Peabody Picture Vocabulary Test" are applied to children between the ages of 0-6.
